Frequently Asked Questions
Garden & Outdoor
Weather, solar, setup & careCan it stay outside in all weather?
Each product page lists whether an item is weather-resistant or waterproof, including its IP rating when it applies. Even weather-resistant pieces last longer when you cover them or store them in a shed or garage during heavy storms, snow and freezing temperatures.
How do solar lights work?
Solar lights charge during the day and switch on automatically at dusk. Before first use, switch the light on and let it charge in full sun for a full day. Place the solar panel where it gets direct sunlight for as many hours as possible. On cloudy days and in winter, lights may glow for a shorter time.
Does it need assembly?
The product page lists everything that's in the box and whether assembly is needed. When it is, instructions and the necessary hardware are included. Anything you need to provide yourself, like batteries or ground stakes for a specific surface, is listed separately.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Specific care instructions are listed on each product page. In general: rinse or wipe with mild soap and water, wipe solar panels clean now and then for the best charge, and make sure items are completely dry before you store them for the season.
